Our MADRE Embroidery sweatshirts applications are woven with the waist loom  or backstrap technique by our artisan Andrea and her group of artisans  in Mexico City/ Chiapas.
 
These sweatshirts are unique pieces, they are one size only (the fit is medium).
 
In Mexican culture,  is important to emphasize that with the backstrap loom the fabric itself is created, it is not an embroidery or a detail in the garment, but rather the fabric was created "from scratch" weaving threads on the loom.
